Video and 3—D-Animationen are formally united, to produce the impression
of a „motionless moving picture“. The video pictures are thus slowed
down by assembly, repetition etc., brought nearly to the stop. The monitor
becomes the Frame of the picture. Nethertheless there are disturbances, references
to the very data stream of both the video- and the animated 3d picture. The
viewer has the option to view the work as a series of digital pictures, while
at the same time the content and the frequence in which these pictures, animations
and videos are presented, changes, using editing and time-manipulating technics,
thus generating a tension between traditionel art reception and up-to-date
datastream-reception. a black Monolith, in which a screen is let in, represents
the emitter, which generates the „topic“, the content. It' s spatial
demarcation refers to the polarity between the emitter system as independent
programming unit and the work of the programming artists. Within the time
framework of the exhibition six topics are generated „Focused Optimized
Tootset“ is the first topic, which was generated in the phase of the
draft. The emitter functiones as self-sufficient system and is completely
uncontrollable after its initialization. It features the topic of the next
relay the artists have to work on. Thus the work and the working process become
a system, in which the artists represent the interface to the system of the
viewer.
